Benayoun header gives Liverpool that all important away goal

In what was quite a tactical affair which necessarily did not make for pretty viewing, Liverpool came trumps with a late Banyoun header that gave them the win and more importantly that away goal that is so important in this format. Both teams started off slow and neither created real chances with Robben being the only real threat to Liverpool. They meet again in a fortnight's time.

Liverpool to go through courtesy a draw at Anfield I'd say.

The Fernando Torres Song

Even if they indeed do appreciate a 'shit on a stick' (comment by Argentine and Real Madrid Legend Jorge Valdano referring to Liverpool and Chelsea's style of play) one must admit Anfield is one hell of an intimidating place for a visiting team. Now if only they could get more quality signings like El Nino, Liverpool supporter's will have lot more to cheer about. Hat's off to Torres for his amazing first season.
